Breathing at The Garden
Nature and breathing sessions are two things that are inherently connected and have been utilized together for centuries, especially in Eastern practices like yoga and meditation. Both of these practices work together to promote a sense of calmness, reduce stress, and improve one’s mental and physical health.
Nature is considered to be a natural stress reliever. Being outdoors, surrounded by nature, helps to alleviate the stress that we experience in our lives. Nature also provides a breath of fresh air, literally. Fresh air is essential for our lungs, and breathing in nature can help to improve our breathing patterns, increase energy levels, and improve our overall mood. It has been scientifically proven that breathing in fresh air improves our mental clarity, and we are much more productive when we are breathing in nature.
Breathing sessions, on the other hand, are structured exercises aimed at improving our breathing patterns. The goal of breathing therapy is to teach people how to breathe correctly such that they can take in more oxygen and release toxins from the body. Breathing properly is essential not only for our physical health but also for our mental health. Deep, slow breathing is known to activate our parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the relaxation and restoration of our body.
When nature and breathing sessions are combined, the benefits are amplified. Nature provides a conducive environment that allows for a relaxed and focused mindset, while breathing exercises enable us to breathe in a way that optimizes oxygen intake, thus promoting better overall physical and mental health. By fusing these two techniques, we are left with a powerful tool to bring calmness and relaxation to our hectic lives.
The session has been held once in June and will be hoping to repeat it on a monthly basis. All residents are welcome to join for donation. Drop me an email to stay up-to-date with any upcoming events!
